NYSC Managements warns 2019 BATCH ‘C’ that Evaded Service Year and its Legal Implication

The management of the National Youth Service Corp has issue out a strong warning to 2019 Batch ‘C’ that were mobilized but willfully failed to turn up for National Youth Service Year. 

In its statement, the management has issued out the legal implication of evasion of service year most especially the 2019 Batch service year.

The statements goes thus; 

This is to inform all eligible Nigerian graduates that NYSC Management has recently commenced the process of prosecuting mobilized graduates who willfully failed to turn up for National Service especially during 2019 Batch ‘C’ Service Year. The decision is in compliance with Section 13 (1) (a) of the NYSC Act which stipulates that any person:

(a) who fails to report for service in the Service Corps in the manner directed by the Directorate or as the case may be prescribed pursuant to the provisions of this Act…” is guilty of an offence and liable on Conviction to a fine of N2000.00 or to imprisonment for a term of 12 months, or to both such fine and imprisonment”. According, Management hereby magnanimously gives all 2019 Batch ‘C’ mobilized graduates who fails to turn up for service to, unfailing revalidate their call up instruments as soon as the portal opens for 2020 Batch ‘A’ registration, or risk the application of the full weight of the law. This notice serves as a final warning and you are please advised to abide by it.
