Job Description

  • ABB Energy Industries drives growth for customers while supporting safe, efficient and profitable operations with strong global execution capacity, an extensive service footprint and capabilities, and innovative digital leadership.
  • You will be working as a Sales Specialist and will be the part of Industrial Automation business for Energy Industries business line based in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role you will be reporting to Sales Manager and will be responsible for driving sales, developing business and managing relationships with customers to maximize profitable growth for ABB Energy Industry in Africa market.

Your Responsibilities

  • Contributing to market intelligence on customer’s structure, knowledge, potential, opportunities, competition, price levels, macro and microeconomics.
  • Developing business through market research and early identification of service opportunities.
  • Using business line approved sales tool to track and monitor future service opportunities.
  • Developing business through market research and early identification of service opportunities.
  • Tracking and monitoring quotations (volume on offers, won-lost analysis, provide feedback on offers to the business line, price-analysis by customer and service product, etc).
  • Ensuring the collection of cash and contributing to avoid overdue payments.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction during and after deliveries.
  • Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in service or industrial sales.
  • Good knowledge of customer products, applications and processes.
  • Strong market and business intelligence knowledge with ability to identify customer service needs.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English is required.
  • Experience in Africa Market is a must
